This workshop is build around a topic of choice. Then participants are supported to create their very own puppets out of recyclable things. The group can support to collect recycled good or I can provide this. This can be discussed art a later date.
1/2 Day
This is a 3 hour session either morning or afternoon. Breaks are scheduled into the workshop. We start with a show and tell about puppets that I will bring with me. We then look at the topic or story. We will identify materials and give example of how we can put them together.
We will spend the rest of the time creating our own puppet.
Full Day
This session starts the same with puppet show and tell. At this stage we will get to play and puppeteer these with direction. We then move on to the topic or story. We go through the materials and show examples of how we could use them. We discuss the story further and consider how we might play this out.
We are then fully stuck into the making process, which we will complete before putting together a small showing which we will perform to teachers and peers if requested.
